Assignments

Portfolio activities

Over the course of the semester, there will be 14 portfolio activities. The assignments will be roughly split between written reflections on existing digital history projects and approaches, and hands-on assignments that call for students to demonstrate proficiency with a digital approach. All of the critiques, reflections, and creations will focus on the history of slavery in the US and its aftermath during Reconstruction. Portfolio activities are due by midnight on the Saturday of the week they are assigned.
